Q & A

All your Journey Beyond travel questions answered.

I really want to book an experience with Outback Spirit as a surprise for my partner. Can you tell me what sort of accommodation is included?

–Ben

There are many Outback Spirit accommodation options to choose from. Opt from a mix of luxury lodges, wilderness camps, and private eco-accommodation. The Outback Spirit accommodation sites are built in partnership with Indigenous communities. Check out outbackspirittours.com.au/camps-lodges/ for details of the different places you can stay and the tours associated with them.

I’ve heard about Reefsleep and Reefsuites, but I’m wondering what the differences are between the two?

–Alexis

Great question! While both Reefsleep and Reefsuites let you spend the night on the Great Barrier Reef, the experience is totally different. Reefsleep is a unique glamping adventure where you sleep under the stars in a comfy swag on the top deck of our Reefworld pontoon. On the other hand, Reefsuites takes things to the next level – it’s Australia’s only underwater accommodation, where you’ll wake up surrounded by tropical fish and coral views right outside your floor-to-ceiling window. Both are unforgettable – just depends how close to the reef you want to be.

My mother and I really want to recreate our recent safari experience and were interested in booking a Monarto Safari Resort trip. Can we book an experience without actually staying at the resort?

–Leslie

Booking a Monarto Safari Resort experience is the perfect way to extend the memories of you and your mother’s previous travels. The Dawn Safari Experience and Sunset Safari Experience are exclusively for Monarto Safari Resort guests. You can opt from a range of different accommodations including premium resort rooms and suites. Head to monartosafariresort.com to explore accommodation and exclusive experiences.

Can you please explain the different cabin classes available to Journey Beyond Rail guests?

–Gary

Of course – we offer several travel styles including Platinum Service (premium luxury), Gold Service (classic comfort with ensuite cabins), and Gold Single (compact private rooms for solo travellers). You can also opt for either the Australis or Aurora Suites; both are generously proportioned with a separate bedroom featuring a queen size bed. The Australis Suite is the largest at three times the size of our Platinum cabins, while the Aurora Suite is double the space. Think about the kind of travel you want, and whether it’s a solo trip or with company, and there’ll definitely be a cabin class to suit.
