A touch of paradise, Rottnest Island sits just offshore from the city of Perth, in Western Australia. A protected nature reserve, it’s famous for being home to the quokka, a small wallaby-like marsupial. Docking in Thomson Bay, the main hub and ferry port, your clients spoilt for choice. Stay close by or explore even more white-sand beaches, as well as secluded coves like The Basin, with its inviting shallow waters. Whether our guests want to dive, snorkel, swim or surf, there is more than one ideal spot. Strickland Bay is known for its surf breaks, while reef breaks occur at Radar Reef, off the island’s far western tip.
Rottnest Express is the island’s largest and most experienced ferry company. For more than 60 years we have operated daily year-round ferry services from Perth and Fremantle to Rottnest Island, offering a reliable and trusted service.
We provide an extensive range of both guided and self-guided day tour packages. These provide complimentary morning transfers from selected hotels in Perth, a variety of on-island activities, as well as an array of lunch options (not included in the tour price).
Our Rottnest Express fleet boasts four high-speed, ocean-going ferries. These have been specifically designed for the local sea conditions and are widely known for their smooth, fast and safe crossings. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase on board.
Ferries depart from B Shed and Northport terminals in Fremantle, also Elizabeth Quay in Perth city. Perth departures include a fully commentated Swan River cruise.
